The promenade extends from the Brīvības iela to the ravine on the southern side of the territory of the castle ruins. The footpath ends in a small viewing area with a wonderful landscape of the River Bērze and three fountains. Another viewing area is located in the central part of the promenade. Evening and night walks are especially pleasant, as the streetlights casting light onto the path, the illuminated castle ruins, and the patterns of the fountain lights on the River Bērze create a romantic, unique atmosphere.
