The collection of antiquities by Jānis Urbāns is on display in a recently built two-storey cabin. The collection includes different kinds of kerosene lamps, irons, bottles, war trophies, kitchen utensils, and other domestic items. The collection is divided into several categories, such as flax processing, war items, leavening and baking of bread, joinery, milk processing, etc. The collection also includes horse-drawn agricultural equipment from the 1930’s. The hostess loves gardening. The hospitable hosts Alda and Jānis allow the visitors to sit in the gazebo, to fry sausages they have brought with them, and to swing on the swings. Students have the opportunity to try out the ancient tools and to learn how to use ancient scales of different types and sizes. Riding in a flour cart will be an especially fun activity. In the summer, the visitors can caress the cute calves and take pictures with them.
