Situated in the Penkule Parish, the homestead Kalnapočas allows the visitors to learn more not only about the peculiarities of growing raspberries in the summer and garlics in the winter but also about the beginnings of the family homestead, given that it dates back to 1873.
Upon prior notification, groups of up to 30 people can enjoy home-made meals under a cosy canopy. It offers vegetable–meat/ beet/ bean soup or roast made in the outdoor oven, accompanied by products from own garden. A delicacy popular with domestic and foreign guests – waffles or the so-called ‘poor man’s pancakes’ made by the guests on the outdoor stove under the supervision of the host. The guests can cook a meal in the kitchen or use the outdoor grill. There is also a cosy canopy in the large garden which is perfect for relaxation and small celebrations.
Lodging in the old house with all amenities that was built more than 100 years ago is provided to those who long for the silence of the countryside and wish to stay in Kalnapočas a little longer. 4 persons can be accommodated in the house at the same time. If necessary, tent camping sites are available. When travelling with the family or friends, you can enjoy the silence of the countryside with all amenities. You can cook a meal in the kitchen or use the outdoor barbecue equipment. A comfortable canopy in the large yard is available for relaxation or a small celebration.
