Only 14 wooden manor houses of the nobles have survived in Zemgale to the present day, and the Ālave Manor in Penkule Parish is one of them. This architectural monument of regional significance was built in the late 19th century. The ravages of time have not spared the Ālave Manor; however, the active involvement of the local community has made it possible to give the manor a fresh start. Work is already underway to clean the area, which will allow to welcome back the visitors for new adventures. There is an interactive path and a campfire site in the manor park, where one can find 35 species of trees and shrubs, 22 of which are non-native. Tours are offered to both adults and children. See you soon!
