Lielauce Church

It is known that the Lielauce Church dates back to 1529 and had a permanent pastor. Later this church was destroyed. The Lielauce Church, which was built by Baron von der Recke, was consecrated on 26 December 1570. A rectory was established the same year. The stone church, on the other hand, was built from 1744 to 1748. In 1804, it received a tower. However, during the World War II, the church was destroyed. The association Lielauces attīstībai (For the Development of Lielauce) makes sure this area is accessible and well-maintained. For more information on the history of the church, please visit the website of the association.
